Class Descriptions


ZUMBA - Dance your way to a fitter you!  Exciting and unique latin moves and rhythms!  Come experience Zumba, the class that is taking the world by storm.

Body Combat - the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.
Spinning Spinning - indoor cycling like never before.  All of the cycle classes on the schedule have been redefined and our instructors are better than ever!  Heart rate monitors are recommended for these classes, but not required.
 
 
 
 

*Step – A basic, entry-level step class that is diverse enough for all fitness levels. No complexity, but just what you need to feel at home in group fitness.

*Step Challenge – designed for the advanced stepper. This class travels through highly complex patterns and will challenge your mind and body together!

*Spicy Steps – Come join us and learn the hottest Latin Dance Moves. Dancing is one of the most enjoyable forms of exercise and an effective way to increase strength & flexibility. Come dressed to move! Tennis shoes and exercise attire.

*Extra Strength – Not your typical one hour in group exercise! This concept fuses all of our classes into one for an EXTRA STRENGTH workout. Train strength and balance, core stability, and cardiovascular using the indoor cycle, the step, and the BOSU.

*Funky Cardio Explosion – take this new hi/low experience to the next level with a little funky flair. Great for all ages, get ready to sweat it out while having a great time!

*Yoga Basics – Try this easy to follow yoga class great for all fitness levels. Perfect place to learn basic movements of yoga to be able to move onto higher level classes.

*Yoga – A one hour class of traditional yoga practices. This is our entry-level yoga class. Relax, stretch, and get stronger.

*Yoga Flow – All Levels - emphasizes a medium-paced yoga experience that gracefully balances active, energetic postures with restorative, receptive postures connected on the breath. Recommended for those who seek a mind/body/spirit workout that is invigorating, but not rigorous!

*Yoga Experience – The name says it all! Yoga with power! Forty-five minutes of one of the fastest growing classes in the industry. Try our “Yoga” format before this one.

*Pilates – A thirty-minute class to strengthen, tone, and condition the core muscles.

*Line Dancing – A fun way to get fit! Learn the latest line dances while you get fit and make friends!

*Tai Chi – Derived from martial arts, Tai Chi is a slow moving, gentle exercise regimen that is a part of traditional Chinese medicine and has been practiced for centuries. It is believed that the performance of Tai Chi enhances the balance of mind, body and spirit. There is ample evidence that the connection between mind and body can be used to relieve stress, combat disease and enhance physical and mental well-being. Tai Chi is truely for anyone - come give it a try!


 

Junior Fitness Classes are designed for kids 10-14 years old, but are also open to family members and entry level participants. Pick up a Fit Kidz schedule in the Youth Activities Center for kids ages 2-9.

*Family Step – This 1-hour class is designed specifically for beginners with simple movements and lots of fun!

*Total Workout – This class combines all elements of Group Fitness - athletic training, stretching, free weights and sports drills - all combine to give your body a "TOTAL WORKOUT"

*Junior Cycling – Riding a bike while going nowhere has never been more exciting! This beginner ride is open to anyone 10 and older who is at least 5 feet tall.

*Family Yoga – This one hour yoga format suits every member of the family over the age of eight. A fitness based yoga class that is fun for everyone.


*BODYVIVE – is the low-impact group fitness workout that lets YOU choose just how hard you work.  Using the Vive Balls and Tubes, you’re talked step-by-step through the entire class by a skilled instructor, all the while listening to uplifting and inspiring music.  Best of all, you finish feeling thoroughly rejuvenated – and Fizzing with Energy.

*BODYPUMP – is hailed as The Fastest Way In The Universe To Get In Shape. BODYPUMP is a strength and endurance training class where muscle and music collide! Low on complexity but high in fun, BODYPUMP has all of the benefits of traditional weight training combined with time efficiency and predictability. EVERY BODY is successful in BODYPUMP. Suitable for just about “EVERY BODY”.

 
*Cycling – Cycle inside like an outdoor rider! Our cycling program is authentic to the sport. Join us for a safe, intense, and fun workout. This class is great for the beginner and the elite cyclist at the same time.

 
*Movin' F.I.T. (Functional Integrated Training) – Exercises for everyday life activities! Starting in a chair and moving to standing, this class is great for seniors, deconditioned beginners, or people with physical challenges.

 


*Gentle Yoga – This relaxing, slow paced class using a chair will leave you strong, stretched, and centered.

 


PowerStrike
*Power Strike –This one hour kickbox format follows traditional boxing and kickboxing techniques. Options are always given for a more basic approach while giving the expert the permission to LET IT GO!
